It is often hard to understand just how much time and effort goes into each jewelry piece. Where does the price come from? Well, it is not just a piece of metal. It's the touch of the artist, whose ability to create an art object out of raw material is seen in the fine details. It's the many years of learning techniques and making jewelry. It's the endless search for form and beauty. Overall, it is the ability of the artist to cause a spark in the soul of another person and make them really want the piece.
Every time I visit an art exhibition, I am shocked by how strong of an impression I get from seeing a painting in real life. On the one hand, it is just a flat image, but when you see the layers of paint, the thick brushstrokes, the underlying pencil markings, you feel the strong energy and presence of the author. I really enjoy this feeling and like to visit galleries as much as I can; for me, these visits are a great source of ideas and inspiration.
